How long have you been working in your field?
I’ve been working in the retirement planning industry since 2017. All of which started at AdvisorNet (Formerly JRA Financial) back in the Maple Grove office.
What do you do in your position?
As a Financial Advisor, I spend most of my day working with clients to build a roadmap leading up to and seeing it through retirement. Roadmaps are adjusted as life events unfold. Annual reviews of each plan are important to ensure all potential changes are accounted for year after year.
What hobbies do you have?
I enjoy spending time on the golf course and riding my bike which entails a 100-mile bike ride for the Bill Nieno Memorial Bike Ride fundraiser each year. We raise funds to support local Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) groups here in the Twin Cities. A new hobby picked up this year has been sailing, which has consisted of problem solving on the fly trying to keep the boat upright as our team is new to this sport!
What is the best advice you ever received?
I received advice from my late grandpa to continue to strive to be the best listener in the room. More times than not, a room is competing to have a lead voice, however, not all rooms have a lead set of ears!
What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Away from the office, I am happiest near the water or on a golf course. There is something about a calm summer morning for each, having some iced coffee and seeing where the wind takes the day.
